Craig Shrive is a partner at Russell McVeagh, specialising in
public law, infrastructure regulation, government relations and
regulatory risk, with a particular focus on the aviation, energy
and telecommunications sectors.
Mr Shrive assists clients with policy, legislative and
regulatory issues through strategic engagement with ministers,
central and local government politicians, select committees,
regulators and officials. He is highly valued by clients for his
ability to provide outstanding technical advice, while remaining
aware of the wider regulatory and strategic issues and
maintaining a strong commercial focus.
Mr Shrive represents some of New Zealand’s biggest
infrastructure companies. He is noted for being an excellent
communicator and being extremely responsive to clients’
Mr Shrive began his career as an adviser in the New Zealand
Parliament. He joined Russell McVeagh in 2007 from a specialist
public law firm and became a partner in 2010.
